It's Been So Long!

When did I last write an entry on this blog site? I think I haven't written for 3 months! In the last several months that I haven't written an entry, I've worked at Uni of Syd Clinic for 3 months and I'm currently working at North Shore Veterinary Hospital/Veterinary Specialist Centre for the past month. In fact, I'm finishing up on Wednesday.

Gosh the Uni Clinic was stressful! They quiz you on everything anywhere, anytime. Although I guess the good thing is that I'm pretty sure I came out knowing heaps more than before! And also a lot more confident with doing consultations and communicating with clients. I wish I did this earlier on in the year so that I could actually put those skills to good use and practice more before I graduate... As it is, I've only got 2 more rotations after North Shore - one month of holidays and one month out in the country doing what we call 'Rural Lands Protection Board'. Mine's allllll the way in a town called Warialda. Haven't heard of the place? It's a town up in the Northern Tablelands near the Queensland border, near Lightning Ridge, Moree and Inverell. Plainly put, it's bloody damn far. In fact I think it's about a 10 hour drive to get there from Sydney... if you don't stop for a toilet break that is. I'm thinking it will most likely take me about 11-12 hours to get there. Due to the fact that I will be driving alone with no one to keep me awake and share the driving with me :(

Well, fortunately, I have a one month holiday beforehand to relax and enjoy life before I'm going to be bored out of my brain with the cows, sheep and horses. I'll definitely be taking LOTS and LOTS of VCDs with me so I can watch them to pass the time, and also lots of my favourite novels to read. (My car's going to be so heavy!!) Hopefully time will pass by relatively quickly, but I know it most likely wouldn't. Hope I find a nice place to stay that's not too expensive to rent for a month.

Ahhh, now. Onto my upcoming holiday. It's going to be soo fantastic! (Well, it better be anyway!) I'm leaving to go to the snows this Saturday. I'm going with Dru and about 9 other people. We're hiring a mini bus with a trailer to take us up there. I hope these people know how to drive a mini bus (with a trailer) in snow conditions! I'm going to start packing on Thursday.

While I'm packing for the snow trip, I also have to be packing for another trip... to Hong Kong! We're coming back from the snows on 16th Sept and my plane leaves for HK on 17th Sept. It's going to be a tight schedule! Hopefully I can squeeze in a full body massage in the morning before my flight leaves. I'll probably need it after 6 rough days on a snowboard!!

I'm going to HK for about 3 weeks, just by myself, so I'm just going to stay around at different relos over there. I can't wait to see all my aunts and uncles and grandmas and cousins! I haven't been back to HK for almost 3 years. And it's going to be so different this time 'cos my parents won't be back with me. Too bad I don't have more friends in HK who could take me out and about. I only have 2 friends there, how sad huh? But hey, I grew up here.

I'll have to keep in touch with all my relos and make sure I go to all the family gatherings. I know that on the second day I arrive in HK, I'll have to go to my grandma's for the Moon Festival family gathering. But that's going to be so great cos I'll get to see heaps of family on my dad's side there. Plus I heard there's been BIG renovations there and it's now heaps modernised and comfortable.

Shopping's going to be the best, and luckily I'm actually quite used to shopping by myself. And I find it's much nicer cos you can look at what you want and for as long as you want, especially because I'm so indecisive it takes me ages to think about whether I should buy something, which will most likely annoy a lot of people.

Mmmmm shopping.....

I just can't wait to have my BIG holiday!
