Dru's Media Sales Friends
Ok I haven't updated my blog for like more than a week, and I'm sorry. But I really haven't been doing much apart from working......
On Friday, Erik had originally planned to go out to Gas Nightclub (some event was supposedly happening there) but when he went to pick up the tickets on Thursday, he realised that the date was 17th of Feb, NOT the 10th of Feb. So it seems that I'll be going out clubbing this coming Friday night instead. Erik was sooo so so so so embarrassed that he got the date wrong. He's said that he owes me a drink or two this Friday because he stuffed up *hehehe* That's good cos I'm poorer than he is :P
So therefore since clubbing wasn't on anymore, I went out for after-work drinks at Bungalow 8 with Dru and his new bunch of Media Sales course friends from uni. I met so many people that night! But Dru kept bumping into other friends and leaving me alone by myself that I had to be friendly and make conversation with everyone. I actually remember many of their names and the faces they belong to... which usually is a difficult feat for me. (Only because there's so many people and so many names and faces to remember!) They really were nice people though, so it wasn't too bad. I hope I meet them all again soon!!
There was one guy there called Ewen who was a big source of entertainment for all of us there that night.
The reason why he was so entertaining was not because of his ability to talk. Ooohh no.
He simply could not hold his liquor.
We started drinks at about 6-6:30pm and he had one beer at about 7pm, then Dru, Ewen and I went for dinner at James Squire. During dinner, Ewen was already seeming a little tipsy and saying a lot of things he probably wouldn't be saying if he was sober. And that was only with one drink! He says that he doesn't like to drink anything with alcohol in it, so I guess his liver was just very unskilled at detoxing alcohol in the blood stream. After dinner he had only another half a beer and that was it for the night. And by the time he was getting to the halfway mark on his second beer, he was quite out of it.
Example: One of the girls asked him something about a guy named Paul and she pointed in Paul's direction. Ewen looked in the general direction she pointed, saw a boat (he probably didn't hear what she said) and said, 'It's a boat!' It was just totally irrelevant to the question asked, and we couldn't help but just laugh at him. It was kinda cute, but just sooo funny cos he was drunk!
During dinner, he asked me when Dru and I are getting married, conveniently when Dru had gone off to the toilet, and I said that he should ask Dru instead. His reply was that he's already asked Dru but what did I think? I doubted that he really did ask Dru that question but I hounded him about what Dru had said anyway, but he wouldn't tell me :(
I asked Dru but he wouldn't tell me either. Oh well.
We left at around 10-10:30pm but I got home after midnight cos we had to take a train to Cabra then Dru had to drive me back to Parra where I'd parked my car outside my workplace, then I had to drive myself home whilst Dru had to drive back down south home. We both had a quick nap on the train and we almost didn't wake up in time to get off the train!
I wore my new heels and got the worst blisters on both my big toes!

It's Valentine's Day tomorrow..... I wonder whether I'll get any flowers?!
I hope I do!!!!
