Sorry It's Been So Long!
Gosh, talk about neglect! I just realised that it's been a month since my last blog! Whoops... I guess working full-time is making it difficult for me to keep everyone updated on my comings and goings, plus I'm just usually at work, so really it's not all that interesting... just work and stuff, lots of sick dogs and cats.... which I'm sure you wouldn't care to know about.
About 2-3 weeks ago I decided to go join Fitness First to get fit and hopefully lose some weight in the process. I actually said yes to a discounted 3 sessions with a Personal Trainer which costed $60 for the 3 half-hour sessions (originally was $120, which is like waaaaayyy expensive!) Told him I would like to work on my upper arms and also the abdomen/bum/thigh region.
The first session wasn't so bad, he introduced me to the Rowing Machine and also tested my flexibility and strength. I am not that flexible.... Nor strong.... Then again, I already knew all that. My thighs and arms ached a bit after the first session but I was quite busy for the rest of the week and hardly went to the gym the few days after.
My second session... oh, my second session.... he worked me out so hard that the day after I actually couldn't sit down normally because my thighs couldn't hold my weight as I sit down due to the acute soreness and pain. I would just plonk down into the seat and then had to use my arms to help me rise out of the chair. I used a lot of Dencorub that night.... It was a painful 3 days... Luckily I saw my trainer again 2 days after the second session and he spent half an hour stretching out my muscles and kneeding out the knots in my leg. The next day, it was amazing, almost overnight the muscles were almost back to normal. Now I just got to meet up with him one more time to discuss his assessment of me. I don't think I can afford to keep him as my trainer - I just ain't that rich :P
So apart from working and going to the gym, I've met up with my high school friends. I went to this really nice chinese place called Chinta Ria in Cockle bay Wharf. The food was soooo yummy, and I never knew the placce existed, even though I've probably walked past it many many times.
Then one week later we went out again to Kobe Jones, a Japanese restaurant on King St Wharf - another place where there's lots of yummy food! I wanna go back!! Prices are a little high but the food's so yummy it's worth it!
